Award season is always an exciting time! Not only to see projects you believe in receive their due accolades but also for viewing the amazing fashions and incredible, high budget after parties. Media companies and event planners blaze new paths each year with their creations for the entertainment industry. The 2014 pre-Oscar and Oscar after parties did not disappoint.
All of the heavy hitters line up to dazzle their guests with unique experiences. From the Weinstein Company, Elton John to the Academy’s very own Governors Ball, the end results are stunning and certainly inspiring. We couldn’t help to notice a design trend incorporated throughout quite a few events: bringing the outside in. Designing spaces adorned with vertical gardens, lush greenery and hedge walls.
This particular design element is quite familiar to us. We incorporated this same idea for an event in May 2013. Instead of your typical vinyl step-and-repeat listing title sponsors, we opted to indulge in the event’s English Garden theme by using a hedge wall for this feature with sponsors listed within gold frames.
After all, we don’t follow trends. We set them.
